You generally cannot see exactly who bought something from your Amazon wishlist, but you can see if items were purchased and you may get notifications.
What Amazon Shows
Amazon usually hides purchased items from the public view of a wishlist or registry, or marks them as purchased so others do not buy duplicates. In some list views or registries, you may see counts like how many gifts are purchased or remaining, but not detailed buyer identity.
Whether You See The Buyer
Amazon’s default behavior is to keep the gift giver’s full identity private in your online wishlist view. The buyer can optionally add a gift message, and that message or the packing slip that arrives with the package often reveals their name or gives a hint.
How To Check Your List
On your Amazon account, go to “Accounts & Lists” and open “Your Lists” or the specific wishlist/registry you shared. Use the filters or “Filter & Sort” menu to show purchased items, or look for any indication like “purchased” or “x gifts purchased” on that list.
Notifications And Orders
You may receive an email or app notification that an item from your wishlist was purchased or shipped, though it will not always clearly state who ordered it. In most cases you cannot match it to the sender from your own Amazon orders page, because gifts bought for you appear in the buyer’s account, not yours.
If You Need Certainty
If you absolutely need to know who bought something (for example to thank them), the most reliable way is to ask in the group or channel where you shared your wishlist. You can also check any gift notes on arriving packages and match them with people you gave your wishlist link to.
