To know if your Apple Watch is charging:
- When you place your Apple Watch on its magnetic charger, you will hear a chime (unless it is on silent mode).
- A green lightning bolt charging symbol will appear on the watch face if it is charging.
- If the watch battery is completely dead, a red lightning bolt icon will show until it starts charging.
- You can also press the side button to open the Control Center on the watch where a green battery percentage indicator will show if it’s charging.
- While charging, the watch may go into Nightstand (or Bedside) mode and display the battery icon on the screen.
If the watch does not show any of these signs, make sure the charger is properly connected and aligned magnetically to the back of the watch.
