To screen record, the method depends on your device or operating system:
On iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open Control Center.
- Tap the gray Screen Record button.
- After a 3-second countdown, the recording starts.
- To stop, tap the red status bar at the top and confirm to stop recording.
- The video saves automatically to your Photos app
On Android devices
- Swipe down twice from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings.
- Tap the "Screen record" icon (you might need to swipe right to find it).
- Choose what you want to record (screen only, audio, etc.).
- Tap Start to begin recording.
- To stop, pull down the notification shade and tap the stop button
On Windows 10 or 11
- Press Windows key + G to open the Xbox Game Bar.
- Click the Record button (or press Win + Alt + R) to start recording.
- To stop, click the stop button on the Game Bar.
- Your recordings save to the Captures folder under Videos
On Mac (using QuickTime Player)
- Open QuickTime Player.
- Go to File > New Screen Recording.
- Click the Record button and choose to record the entire screen or a portion.
- Click Stop in the menu bar to finish.
- Save the recording to your desired location.
