On a Chromebook, to copy and paste using the keyboard, highlight the text you want, then press and hold the CTRL key and press the C key to copy. To paste, move the cursor where you want the text and press CTRL and V together. Alternatively, you can use the trackpad or mouse by highlighting text, right- clicking or tapping with two fingers, and selecting copy or paste from the context menu.
Copy and Paste with Keyboard
- Highlight the text (using trackpad, mouse, or keyboard).
- Press CTRL + C to copy.
- Move the cursor where you want to paste.
- Press CTRL + V to paste.
Copy and Paste with Trackpad or Mouse
- Highlight the text.
- On trackpad, tap with two fingers to open the menu; select copy.
- Move cursor, tap with two fingers to bring up menu; select paste.
- On a mouse, right-click the highlighted text and select copy; then right-click where you want to paste and select paste.

- Double-tap to select text.
- Adjust highlight handles.
- Tap and select copy.
- Tap and hold where you want to paste, then select paste.
