To vote on Dancing with the Stars, viewers primarily have two options during the live broadcast:
- Online Voting:
- Go to the official voting website dwtsvote.abc.com during the live show.
- Create an account or log in if already registered (requires email verification if new).
- Select the favorite couple(s) and assign up to 10 votes per couple.
- Submit your votes before the voting window closes at the end of the live broadcast.
- You can change your online votes within the voting window by saving updated votes.
- Text Voting (available only in the U.S. and its territories):
- Text the celebrity’s designated first name to 21523.
- Up to 10 votes per couple per week via text.
- Note that SMS voting is not available in Canada.
- Standard message and data rates may apply.
Voting eligibility is for individuals 18 years or older residing in the U.S., its territories, or Canada (Canada only online voting). The voting window opens when the live show starts (usually 8 p.m. ET) and closes right after the final live performance of the night. Each voting method allows up to 10 votes per couple per week, so a voter can cast up to 20 votes per couple combining both methods if eligible. Live voting counts only during the live broadcast, mainly in Eastern and Central time zones.
