Toto takes a bath by first cautiously testing the temperature of the water with his hand. Then he gradually puts one foot in the warm water and then the other, until he is immersed up to his neck. Toto also applies soap on himself, using his hands or feet, and rubs himself all over. He learned to take a bath by watching the narrator, imitating the proper steps of bathing.
