UFC fights have two main types of duration depending on the fight type:
- Regular non-title fights and undercard fights are scheduled for 3 rounds, each round lasting 5 minutes with 1-minute breaks between rounds. This totals 17 minutes if the fight goes all rounds.
- Main event and title fights have 5 rounds of 5 minutes each with 1-minute breaks, totaling 29 minutes if it goes the full distance.
Fights can end much sooner if there is a knockout, submission, or stoppage, sometimes lasting just seconds. On average, UFC fights tend to last about 11 to 12 minutes depending on the weight class and gender. So, the length can vary between a few seconds up to 17 or 29 minutes depending on the fight type and outcome.
