These intense periods usually last anywhere from 2 to 3 days up to a week before the baby settles back into a more regular feeding pattern. Cluster feeding commonly occurs at specific growth spurts around 2 to 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months but the initial cluster feeding phase in the first few weeks can be the longest and most intense.
