The Mackinac Bridge is approximately 4.99 miles (about 26,372 feet or 8.03 kilometers) long. It is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world and the longest in the Western Hemisphere between anchorages. The bridge connects the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan, spanning the Straits of Mackinac between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron.
