Trey Benson of the Arizona Cardinals is currently out with a knee injury and has been placed on injured reserve (IR). He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his meniscus and is expected to be sidelined for at least 4 to 6 weeks. The minimum absence means he will miss at least four games, but the recovery period could extend up to six weeks. Head coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed Benson will return at some point this season, targeting a comeback possibly by mid to late November 2025. This injury happened late in the Cardinals' Week 4 game against the Seattle Seahawks. Benson has been the leading rusher for the team this season before the injury. The Cardinals will rely on other running backs such as Emari Demercado, Michael Carter, and Bam Knight in his absence.
