There are seven continents in the world according to the most commonly accepted model. These continents are Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia (sometimes referred to as Oceania).
The number of continents can vary depending on the criteria used and different regional perspectives, with some models proposing fewer continents by combining some of them, but the seven-continent model is the one most widely taught and used globally.
