Each NFL team currently plays 17 regular-season games.
Regular season
Since 2021, the NFL has used a 17-game regular-season schedule for each of its 32 teams, played over 18 weeks with one bye week per team. That means the league-wide regular season consists of 272 games in total.
Preseason and playoffs
Most teams also play three preseason games before the regular season starts, though exact numbers can vary slightly by year or special events. After the regular season, 14 teams qualify for the playoffs, which add multiple postseason games leading up to the Super Bowl.
