how many individuals signed the constitution?

Thirty-nine individuals signed the U.S. Constitution. Out of 70 delegates chosen for the Constitutional Convention, only 55 attended, and of those, 39 actually signed the document on September 17, 1787. Some delegates refused to sign due to objections, and Rhode Island did not send any representatives to the convention.
