Little League World Series games consist of six innings. If the home team is leading after the top of the sixth inning and secures three outs, the game ends with five and a half innings played. In case the game is tied after six innings, it proceeds into extra innings starting with the seventh, which is played like the regular innings without an automatic runner on second base. From the eighth inning onward in extra innings, a runner is placed on second base at the start of each half-inning. Additionally, the game can be shortened by the "run rule": if one team leads by 15 or more runs after three innings (or two and a half if the home team is ahead), or by 10 or more runs after four innings (or three and a half if the home team leads), the game ends early. In summary:
- Regular game: 6 innings
- Early game end possible due to run rule
- Extra innings start from the 7th if tied after 6 innings
- Runner on second base begins in the 8th inning and beyond in extra innings.
