Nelly has a total of five children. He has two biological children from a previous relationship with Channetta Valentine: a daughter named Chanelle (born in 1994) and a son named Cornell Haynes III (born in 1999). Additionally, he adopted his late sister Jackie Donahue’s two children, Shawn Thomas and Sydney Thomas, after she passed away in 2005. Most recently, Nelly and his wife Ashanti welcomed their first child together, a son named Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, born in July 2024
