In Georgia, the number of points assigned to a speeding ticket depends on how much over the speed limit you were driving:
- 15 to 18 mph over the speed limit: 2 points
- 19 to 23 mph over the speed limit: 3 points
- 24 to 33 mph over the speed limit: 4 points
- 34 mph or more over the speed limit: 6 points
No points are added for speeding less than 15 mph over the limit or for "too fast for conditions" violations
