The Dartford Crossing toll charges have increased as of September 1, 2025. For cars, the new toll charge is £3.50 for a one-off payment, up from £2.50 previously. If using a pre-pay account, the charge is £2.80 per crossing. Local residents can get an annual unlimited pass for £25, increased from £20. For other vehicles:
- Vans and 2-axle goods vehicles pay £4.20 one-off or £3.60 with pre-pay.
- HGVs (3 or more axles) pay £8.40 one-off or £7.20 with pre-pay.
- Motorcycles remain free.
These increases reflect a 40% rise for cars and proportional rises for other vehicles, motivated by the need to manage high traffic volumes and infrastructure costs.
