Flonase (fluticasone propionate) nasal spray is typically used once daily. For adults, the recommended starting dosage is two sprays in each nostril once a day for the first week. After that, it can be reduced to one or two sprays in each nostril once daily as needed, up to six months. Some adults may also use one spray in each nostril twice daily as an alternative. Children aged 4 to 11 should use one spray per nostril once a day under adult supervision, and children 12 years and older use the adult dose. Children under 4 years should not use Flonase. It is important not to exceed the recommended dosage, as higher doses have not been proven to be more effective. After six months of daily use, consulting a doctor is advised for continued use.
