You can take a speed awareness course once every 3 years. If you are caught speeding again within this 3-year period, you will not be offered another speed awareness course and will instead have to accept penalty points on your license and/or pay a fine. This 3-year restriction applies to the same type of speed awareness course. The decision to offer a course is at the discretion of the police and depends on the severity of the speeding offence and other eligibility criteria.
