The second plane crashed into the South Tower approximately 17 minutes after the first plane crashed into the North Tower. The first plane, American Airlines Flight 11, hit the North Tower at 8:46 AM, and the second plane, United Airlines Flight 175, crashed into the South Tower at 9:03 AM on September 11, 2001.
