Nausea from pregnancy, often called morning sickness, typically starts between 4 and 9 weeks of pregnancy, with many women beginning to feel nauseous around the 6th week. It can begin as early as the first month for some and generally peaks around weeks 8 to 10. Though it is commonly called morning sickness, nausea can occur at any time of day and may last through the first trimester, usually settling by weeks 14 to 20. However, a smaller number of women may experience nausea beyond the first trimester or even throughout the entire pregnancy.
