The original Twin Towers of the World Trade Center were very tall buildings. The North Tower (1 World Trade Center) was 1,368 feet (417 meters) tall, and the South Tower (2 World Trade Center) was slightly shorter at 1,362 feet (415.1 meters) tall. Both towers had 110 stories and were the tallest buildings in the world at the time of their completion in the early 1970s. The North Tower's height to the tip of its antenna was even taller, reaching about 1,815 feet (553 meters).
In comparison, the new One World Trade Center, which stands on the original site, has a total height of 1,776 feet (541 meters) including its spire, with the roof height at 1,368 feet, matching the original North Tower.
