The original Twin Towers of the World Trade Center were approximately 1,368 feet (417 meters) tall for the North Tower and 1,362 feet (415 meters) tall for the South Tower, measured to their rooftops. The North Tower also had a large antenna that extended its height to 1,730 feet (527 meters). These towers each had 110 floors and were the tallest buildings in the world at the time of their completion in the early 1970s.
The new One World Trade Center, built on the site, has a roof height of 1,368 feet (417 meters), which is the same height as the original North Tower's roof, but including its spire, it reaches a total height of 1,776 feet (541 meters), symbolizing the year 1776.
