To block a number on your iPhone, you can follow these straightforward steps:
- Using the Phone App (Recents or Contacts):
- Open the Phone app.
- Go to the Recents tab or your Contacts.
- Find the number or contact you want to block.
- Tap the info (i) button next to the number or contact.
- Scroll down and tap Block this Caller or Block Contact.
- Confirm by tapping Block Contact again. This will block calls, messages, and FaceTime from that number
- Using Settings:
- Open Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Phone.
- Tap Blocked Contacts.
- Tap Add New to select a contact or enter a number to block. You can also manage your blocked list here to unblock numbers if needed
- Blocking in FaceTime or Messages:
- In FaceTime , find the contact or number, tap the info button, and select Block this Caller.
- In Messages , open the conversation, tap the contact at the top, tap the info button, then tap Block this Caller. This blocks calls, messages, and FaceTime from the selected contact or number
Additional Notes:
- Blocked callers can still leave voicemails, but you won't receive notifications.
- Messages from blocked numbers won't be delivered.
- Blocked contacts are not notified that they have been blocked
