To change your home address on Google Maps, follow these steps depending on your device:
On Mobile (iPhone or Android)
- Open the Google Maps app and make sure you are logged in.
- Tap on the Saved tab at the bottom.
- Scroll down and select Labeled.
- Tap the three dots (More icon) next to the Home label.
- Choose Edit home.
- Clear the current address by tapping the "X" or deleting it.
- Enter your new home address manually, or
- Tap Choose on map to drop a pin on your new location, or
- (On Android) Use your current location if you are at your new home, or
- (On iPhone) Choose from your contacts if applicable.
- Tap Save or Done to confirm the change.
This will update your home address in Google Maps for future navigation
On Desktop (Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook)
- Open a web browser and go to the Google Maps website.
- Log in to your Google account.
- Click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.
- Select Saved from the menu.
- Click on Labeled to see your saved places.
- Find Home , click the three-dot menu next to it, and select Remove Address.
- Click the three-dot menu again and choose Set Your Home Address.
- Type your new address in the search bar and select the suggested address.
- Click Save.
Your home address will now be updated on Google Maps across devices
