- Open the AirPods charging case lid with the AirPods inside.
- Hold the case close to your iPhone or iPad.
- A status popup will appear on the screen showing the battery percentage of each AirPod and the charging case
Alternatively, you can check the battery status via the "Batteries" widget on your iPhone or iPad, which displays the battery levels when your AirPods are connected
On Mac
- Open the AirPods case or take the AirPods out.
- Click the Bluetooth icon or AirPods icon in the menu bar.
- A dropdown will show the battery percentage of each AirPod (note: the case battery level is not shown on macOS)
Without a Paired Device
- Open the AirPods case lid.
- Look at the status light on the case:
- Green means fully charged.
- Amber means less than one full charge remains.
- No light usually means the case needs charging
