To check which version of Windows is installed on a computer, the most common and easy methods are:
- Press the Windows key + R, type "winver" and press Enter. A window will pop up showing the version and build number of Windows.
- Click the Start menu, then go to Settings > System > About. Under "Windows specifications," it shows the edition (like Windows 10 Pro), version (like 22H2), and OS build.
- Another option is to open the Command Prompt (Win + R, type "cmd", press Enter), then type "systeminfo" and press Enter. The OS name and version will be at the top of the report.
Any of these methods will clearly show which Windows version is running including edition and build details.
