To clean AirPods Pro properly, follow these steps:
- Remove the ear tips by pulling firmly at the base, then rinse them under running tap water (no soap or cleaners). Dry them completely before reattaching.
- For the AirPods Pro meshes, use micellar water (containing PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides) and a soft-bristled children's toothbrush. Dip the brush in micellar water and gently brush the mesh in circular motions for about 15 seconds. Repeat this three times for each mesh.
- Rinse the brush with distilled water and repeat the brushing with distilled water three times to rinse off the micellar water from the meshes.
- Blot the meshes dry on a paper towel between brushings.
- Let the AirPods dry completely for at least two hours before use or putting them back in the case.
- To clean the body of the AirPods, wipe them with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. If needed, dampen the cloth slightly with fresh water or isopropyl alcohol but do not get moisture into any openings.
- Avoid using sharp objects, abrasive materials, soap, or household cleaners on any part of your AirPods.
This careful method cleans the important speaker and microphone meshes without damaging the AirPods Pro, keeping them hygienic and functioning well.
