- Fill the kettle with a mixture of 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water (or 50/50 mix), then boil it. Let the solution sit inside the kettle for about 30 minutes to overnight to loosen buildup.
- Discard the solution, rinse thoroughly, and repeat boiling fresh water and discarding it 2-3 times to remove vinegar smell.
- For stubborn buildup, scrub the inside gently with a soft sponge or brush; avoid harsh abrasives that can damage the heating element.
- Clean the exterior with a soft cloth dipped in soapy water, then wipe dry.
- You can also use lemon juice or baking soda as alternatives for descaling: boil a mixture of lemon juice and water or baking soda and water, let sit, then rinse well.
- Always ensure the kettle is unplugged and cooled down before cleaning externally or handling filters.
Regular cleaning every few months will maintain the kettle’s efficiency and longevity.
