To connect a smart TV to WiFi, generally follow these steps:
- Using your TV remote, go to the Menu or Settings.
- Find the Network Settings or Connection section.
- Choose to set up a new wireless connection.
- Look for your WiFi network name (SSID) on the list and select it.
- Enter your WiFi password when prompted.
- Confirm and connect. Your TV should now be connected to the internet.
This procedure may vary slightly depending on the TV brand and model, but it is essentially the same: accessing network settings, selecting WiFi, and entering your password. For Samsung TVs, for example, you open the SmartHub with the Home button, go to Settings > All Settings > Network > Open Network Settings > Wireless, and then select your WiFi and enter the password.
If difficulties arise, confirming the WiFi router is functioning properly and the password is correct is helpful. Also, some older TV models may only support 2.4 GHz networks and not the 5 GHz band.
