To delete your Google Pay (GPay) transaction history, follow these steps:
Deleting GPay Transaction History
Using a Web Browser (Desktop or Mobile)
- Go to the Google Pay activity page at myactivity.google.com/product/gpay and log in with your Google account linked to GPay.
- Scroll through your transaction history.
- To delete individual transactions, click the 'X' icon next to the specific transaction and confirm deletion.
- To delete multiple or all transactions, click the 'Delete' button above the transaction list.
- Select the timeframe for deletion: Last hour, Last day, All time, or Custom Range , then confirm.
- It may take up to 12 hours for the deletions to reflect fully
Using the Google Pay Mobile App
- Open the Google Pay app on your phone.
- Tap your profile image at the top right.
- Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Data and Personalisation.
- Tap the Google Account link and log in.
- Scroll to find your transaction history.
- Delete individual transactions by selecting them or use the bulk delete option by choosing a timeframe
Important Notes
- Deleting transactions removes them from your visible history but does not necessarily erase them permanently from Google's servers, as Google retains data for legal and service purposes
- You cannot delete pending transactions until they are completed.
- To fully remove your data, consider deleting or deactivating your Google Pay account.
- You can also remove linked payment methods via payments.google.com to enhance privacy
This process helps maintain privacy by hiding transaction details from casual viewers but does not guarantee complete data erasure from Google's backend systems.
