To do sock curls (heatless curls using socks), follow these steps:

  1. Prepare your hair
Start with clean, dry hair. You can apply a bit of texturizing spray or light mousse for extra hold if desired. Make sure your hair is smooth and detangled.

  2. Section your hair
Divide your hair into even sections depending on thickness and length-usually 2 to 4 sections. Secure sections you're not working on with clips.

  3. Attach the sock
Take a long tube sock (preferably fuzzy or textured to be gentle on hair). Fasten the closed toe end of the sock near the top of your head using a clip or hold it in your mouth.

  4. Wrap your hair around the sock
Starting close to the roots, wrap your hair around the sock, curling it outward away from your face. Keep the wrap tight and smooth, making sure not to twist the sock itself.

  5. Secure the curl
Once all the hair in the section is wrapped, fold the open end of the sock over the wrapped hair to secure it in place. You can also roll the sock up to cover the hair completely.

  6. Repeat for all sections
Do the same for each section of hair you want to curl.

  7. Sleep or wait
Leave the socks in overnight or for at least 3–8 hours to set the curls.

  8. Remove and style
In the morning, gently unwrap the socks and finger-comb your curls. Avoid brushing to maintain curl definition. Use a light hairspray if needed to hold the curls longer.

This method creates soft, bouncy curls without heat damage and is comfortable enough to sleep in. Results can last for a full day depending on hair type and product use
