Here is an easy way to draw a present using simple shapes. This works well for kids and beginners.
Simple box shape
- Draw a tall rectangle or a square for the front of the present.
- From the top two corners, draw two short diagonal lines going up and out, then connect their ends with a straight line to make the top of the box.
Add the ribbon
- Draw one vertical line down the middle of the box, then another close beside it so it looks like a strip of ribbon.
- Draw two horizontal lines across the top of the box, close together, to make the ribbon going the other way.
Draw a simple bow
- In the center on top, draw a small oval or square for the knot.
- On each side of the knot, draw a big loop like a sideways “D” for the bow parts, then add two short ribbon ends hanging down with V-shaped cuts at the bottom.
Make it look nice
- Erase any extra overlapping lines inside the bow so it looks clean.
- Color the box one color and the ribbon and bow a different bright color so the present stands out.
