To drop a pin on an iPhone using Apple Maps, follow these steps:
- Open the Apple Maps app on your iPhone.
- Navigate or zoom in to the area where you want to drop the pin.
- Press and hold your finger on the exact spot on the map where you want to drop the pin. After about a second, a red pin will appear at that location.
- Once the pin is dropped, an information panel will show details like the address and coordinates of the pinned location.
- You can tap the pin or the info panel to access options such as:
- Get directions to or from the pinned location.
- Share the location with others via Messages, Email, or other apps.
- Save the location to your Favorites for easy access later.
- Move the pin by dragging it if it’s not exactly where you want.
- Remove the pin if you no longer need it.
- To share the pin directly in Messages, you can also open a conversation, tap the "+" button, select Location, then tap the pin icon to drop and adjust the pin before sending it.
