To export your bookmarks from Google Chrome, you use the Bookmark Manager and save them as an HTML file that you can import elsewhere.
Desktop steps
- Open Chrome on your computer.
- Click the three‑dot menu (top‑right) and choose Bookmarks (or “Bookmarks and lists”) > Bookmark Manager.
- In Bookmark Manager, click the three‑dot menu near the top (next to the search bar).
- Select “Export bookmarks.”
- Choose where to save the HTML file and click Save; this file can later be imported into Chrome or another browser.
To import on another computer
- On the new computer, open Chrome and go to the three‑dot menu > Bookmarks (or “Bookmarks and lists”) > Bookmark Manager.
- Open the Bookmark Manager menu (three dots) and choose “Import bookmarks.”
- Select the HTML file you exported earlier; Chrome will add them, usually in a folder named “Imported.”
