What is Xbox Game Sharing?
- Game sharing allows two people to share their digital game libraries and subscriptions by setting each other's consoles as their "home Xbox." This means both can play each other's games without needing to sign into the other’s account constantly
Requirements
- Two Xbox consoles (Xbox One, Series X, or Series S).
- Two Xbox accounts.
- Internet connection to download shared games initially (games can then be played offline)
How to Set Up Game Sharing
- On your friend’s Xbox:
- Turn on the console and press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Go to the account icon and select Add new to sign in with your Xbox account credentials.
- Navigate to Settings > General > Personalization > My home Xbox.
- Select Make this my home Xbox to set their console as your home Xbox.
- On your Xbox:
- Repeat the same process but sign in with your friend’s account and set your console as their home Xbox.
This two-way setup links both consoles to share games and subscriptions
How to Access Shared Games
- Sign in to your Xbox account on your console.
- Go to My Games & Apps > Full Library > All Owned Games.
- You will see and can download games owned by your friend, and vice versa
