To get a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card, follow these steps:

Complete the Application
Apply online via the TSA TWIC website or start the process at a TWIC application center. -
Schedule an Appointment
Book an appointment online or by phone (855-347-8371) to visit a TWIC enrollment center. -
Visit the Enrollment Center
At your appointment, bring required identification documents such as a U.S. passport, driver’s license, or birth certificate. You will:- Provide fingerprints (if you have a HazMat endorsement, you may use the same prints)
- Have your photo taken
- Pay the non-refundable fee of $125.25 (payment accepted via credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier’s check)

Wait for Approval and Card Delivery
The TSA conducts a background check, which can take several weeks. Once approved, you typically receive your TWIC card by mail within 7 to 10 business days. You may also pick it up in person at the application center. The entire process usually takes 30 to 45 days, but TSA recommends applying 8 to 12 weeks in advance to avoid delays.
The TWIC card is valid for five years, and renewal follows a similar process with a slightly reduced fee ($117.25 online renewal fee)
