To remove deodorant from a shirt, there are several methods you can try:

  1. Rub the deodorant residue with a pair of pantyhose or knee-highs. Just use some brisk wrist action; no heavy scrubbing needed.
  2. Grab a piece of foam rubber from a dry cleaning hanger, and rub the deodorant.
  3. Erase all traces of deodorant with a new or used fabric dryer sheet by rubbing with quick, short strokes. A used dryer sheet is best because a new one might leave some white residue on dark fabrics.
  4. If you dont have anything on hand, grab your shirt and briskly rub the fabric together against itself to loosen the deodorant residue. Then, brush it away. Use this as a last resort because the rubbing can cause wrinkles and even stretch or snag some delicate fabrics.
  5. Rub the area of your shirt with a soapy cloth, then soak the cloth under clean water and wipe any soap away.
  6. Mix baking soda into a paste in a 3:1 ratio with water and scrub into the stain with an old toothbrush.
  7. Mix 3 tablespoons of dish soap with six tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide. Scrub the stained area with a stiff brush or old toothbrush.
  8. Make a baking soda paste in a three-to-one ratio with water. You can also add a dash of Tide Ultra OXI Powder Laundry Detergent or hydrogen peroxide to the solution to give it an extra boost.
  9. Mix up a solution of ½ cup hydrogen peroxide, ½ cup baking soda, and ½ cup tap water together in a measuring cup and stir to dissolve. Fill a tea kettle with water and bring it to a boil. Place the shirt in a plastic dishpan and pour the solution over the stain. Then, pour the boiling water over the shirt to melt the crusty buildup. Rinse the shirt with cold water and wash it as usual.

Before trying any of these methods, always check the care label on your garment to ensure the treatment won't damage or discolor fibers.
