To get Halsin to join your party in Baldur's Gate 3, follow these key steps:
- Rescue Halsin from the Goblin Camp (Act 1):
- Go to the Goblin Camp and enter the Shattered Sanctum.
- Cross the wooden bridge on the right and enter the Worgs Pen.
- Find Halsin, who has been transformed into a bear, and free him by killing the goblins around his cage.
- Defeat the three goblin leaders as Halsin requests.
- Return to Emerald Grove with Halsin
- Attend the Celebration at Your Camp:
After returning to Emerald Grove, Halsin will hold a party at your camp to celebrate. During this event, he will name a successor as First Druid and offer to travel with you. Accept his offer to continue the journey together
- Complete Additional Quests in Act 2 (Shadow-Cursed Lands):
- Travel to the Last Light Inn and talk to the cursed man Art Cullagh.
- Find Art Cullagh's lute in the House of Healing by defeating Malus Thorm and loot it.
- Return the lute to Art Cullagh to wake him up.
- Help Halsin retrieve the boy Thaniel by defending the portal from enemies for several turns.
- After successfully defending Halsin, return to camp and talk to him again
- Recruit Halsin as an Active Party Member:
Once these quests are complete, Halsin will ask to join your party actively. Agree to have him join, and he will become a companion you can take on your adventures
Important Notes:
- You must side with the Druids and not the Goblins; siding with the Goblins or recruiting Minthara will lock Halsin out as a companion.
- Halsin only joins "good" aligned characters and will not join if you have made major evil decisions early in the game.
- If you do not wake Art Cullagh, Halsin will stay by his side and not join your party
By following these steps, you will successfully recruit Halsin to your party in Baldur's Gate 3.
