To group apps on your iPhone, you create folders on the Home Screen by following these steps:
- Touch and hold the Home Screen background or an app icon until the apps start to jiggle.
- Drag one app icon onto another app you want to group it with. This action creates a folder containing both apps.
- Drag additional apps into this folder if desired.
- To rename the folder, touch and hold the folder, tap "Rename," then enter your preferred name.
- When finished organizing, tap "Done" or tap the Home Screen background to stop the jiggling mode
Additional tips:
- You can move apps out of a folder by opening the folder, touching and holding the app until it jiggles, then dragging it back to the Home Screen.
- If you remove all apps from a folder, the folder deletes automatically.
- You can organize folders by category (e.g., Finance, Games) or alphabetically for easier navigation
- The App Library (accessed by swiping left past the last Home Screen) automatically groups apps into categories but does not allow manual reorganization within it
This method works on all recent iPhone models and iOS versions supporting folders.
