To know if someone has blocked you on WhatsApp, look for these key signs:
- Profile Photo Disappears: If you tap on their chat and their profile picture is missing or replaced by a generic icon, it may indicate you are blocked
- No "Last Seen" or "Online" Status: You will no longer see their "last seen" timestamp or "online" status in the chat window. However, this can also happen if they changed their privacy settings
- Messages Show One Checkmark Only: When you send a message, it will have one gray checkmark (sent) but never a second checkmark (delivered). This suggests your messages are not reaching them
- Cannot Make WhatsApp Calls: Calls you try to place to them will not go through or ring, another indication of being blocked
- No Profile Updates Visible: You won’t see any changes they make to their profile info, such as status or profile photo updates
