To make your Instagram account private, follow these steps:
- Open the Instagram app and go to your profile by tapping your profile picture at the bottom right.
- Tap the three horizontal lines (menu) at the top right corner.
- Select Settings and privacy.
- Scroll down to the Account privacy section.
- Tap Private account and toggle it on to switch your account from public to private.
- Confirm by tapping Switch to private.
Once your account is private, only your approved followers can see your posts and stories
. Note: If you have a Business or Creator account, you must first switch back to a Personal account to enable the private setting.
