To put your iPad on silent, follow these steps:
- Use the Control Center:
- Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open the Control Center.
- Look for the bell icon (sound mode icon).
- Tap the bell icon to turn on Silent Mode. The icon will change to indicate that Silent Mode is active.
- Tap it again to turn Silent Mode off when needed
- Using the Volume Buttons:
- Press and hold the Volume Down button until the sound is muted
- Add Silent Mode to Control Center (if not already there):
- Open Settings on your iPad.
- Go to Control Center.
- If Silent Mode is not in the included controls, tap the green plus button next to Silent Mode to add it
- Alternative: Use Siri
- You can say, "Hey Siri, turn on silent mode," to reduce volume, though this may not mute all notifications completely
- Turn on Do Not Disturb for complete silence:
- Open Control Center.
- Tap Focus, then select Do Not Disturb to silence calls, alerts, and notifications temporarily
These methods will mute sounds on your iPad, helping you avoid disruptions during meetings or quiet times
