To put screen record on your iPhone and start recording, follow these steps:
How to Add Screen Recording to Control Center
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap Control Center.
- Under "More Controls," find Screen Recording.
- Tap the green + button next to Screen Recording to add it to your Control Center
How to Start Screen Recording
- Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open Control Center (on iPhones with Face ID) or swipe up from the bottom (on iPhones with a Home button).
- Tap the Screen Recording button (a circle within a circle).
- A 3-second countdown will begin, then recording starts.
- To record audio with your screen recording, press and hold the Screen Recording button in Control Center, then tap the Microphone icon to turn it on before starting
How to Stop Screen Recording
- Tap the red status bar or red circle at the top of your screen, then tap Stop.
- Alternatively, open Control Center again and tap the Screen Recording button to stop
Where to Find Your Screen Recordings
- Screen recordings are automatically saved to the Photos app.
- Open Photos and look under Media Types > Screen Recordings to find all your recordings
Notes:
- Some apps may restrict recording audio or video.
- You cannot record your screen and use screen mirroring simultaneously
This method works on iPhones running recent iOS versions including iOS 15, 16, and 18.
