To refund games on Steam, follow these key steps:
- Eligibility: The game must be purchased within the last 14 days, and you must have played it for less than 2 hours.
- Go to Steam's Help menu and select Steam Support.
- Click on Purchases and find the game you want to refund.
- Select "I would like a refund" and then choose "I’d like to request a refund."
- Provide a reason for the refund request, such as "It’s not fun."
- Submit the request. Refunds usually process within a few hours but can take up to 7 days to reflect in your account.
- You can choose to have the refund sent to your original payment method or your Steam Wallet.
If the purchase or playtime exceeds eligibility criteria, the refund is unlikely to be approved. Refunds can also be requested for DLC and some in- game purchases under specific conditions.
