To remove or turn off Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, you have several easy options:
Using Control Center
- On iPhone X or later, swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open Control Center. On earlier models, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the crescent moon icon (the Do Not Disturb button). If it is highlighted, Do Not Disturb is on; tap it once to turn it off.
- When off, the moon icon disappears from the status bar and lock screen
Using Settings
- Open Settings.
- Tap Focus.
- Tap Do Not Disturb.
- Toggle off any scheduled automations under "Turn On Automatically" by deleting them if you want to prevent Do Not Disturb from turning on automatically.
- You can also customize allowed calls and notifications here or disable the mode entirely
Additional Tips
- If you want to ensure Do Not Disturb does not activate on a schedule, go to Settings > Focus > Do Not Disturb > Set a Schedule and disable any schedules
- If your phone is still silent after turning off Do Not Disturb, check that Silent Mode is off in Settings > Sounds & Haptics
In summary, the quickest way is to open Control Center and tap the moon icon to toggle Do Not Disturb off. For more permanent removal or customization, use the Focus settings in the Settings app to delete automations and schedules
