To screen record on a PC, especially if you are using Windows 10 or 11, you have several built-in options:
Using Xbox Game Bar (Windows 10 & 11)
- Press Win + G to open the Xbox Game Bar.
- Click the Record button (or press Win + Alt + R) to start recording your screen.
- You can also enable microphone audio if you want to record your voice.
- When finished, press Win + Alt + R again or open Game Bar and click the stop button.
- The recording is saved as an MP4 file in the Videos > Captures folder
Using Snipping Tool (Windows 11)
- Open the Snipping Tool from the Start menu or press Win + Shift + S.
- Click the video camera icon on the toolbar, then click New.
- Select the screen area you want to record.
- Click Start to begin recording.
- Use the Pause and Stop buttons as needed.
- After stopping, the video appears on screen, and you can save it as an MP4 file
Using Clipchamp (Windows 11)
- Open Clipchamp and go to the Record & Create tab.
- Choose Screen or Screen & Camera to start recording.
- Allow access to your camera and microphone if prompted.
- Record your screen and save the video when done
