To screen record on an iPhone, follow these steps:
Enable Screen Recording in Control Center
- Open Settings.
- Go to Control Center.
- Scroll down to More Controls and tap the green plus (+) next to Screen Recording to add it to your Control Center
Start Screen Recording
- For iPhones with Face ID (no Home button), swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open Control Center.
- For iPhones with a Home button, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center.
- Tap the Screen Recording button (a circle within a circle). A 3-second countdown will begin, then recording starts
Record with Audio (Optional)
- Instead of tapping, long-press or 3D Touch the Screen Recording button in Control Center.
- Tap the Microphone icon to turn audio recording on or off.
- Tap Start Recording to begin with audio
Stop Screen Recording
- Tap the red status bar at the top of the screen and confirm to stop, or
- Open Control Center again and tap the Screen Recording button to stop recording
Access Your Recording
- The video is automatically saved to the Photos app.
- Open Photos to view, edit, and share your screen recording
Note: Some apps may restrict screen recording or audio capture, and you cannot record your screen while using screen mirroring
