To sell a ship in Starfield, follow these steps:
- Go to a Ship Services Technician at any major settlement or spaceport, such as the one in New Atlantis on Jemison in the Alpha Centauri system.
- Talk to the Ship Services Technician and select the option "Let me see what ships you have for sale." This brings up the ship buy/sell menu.
- Switch to the Sell menu by selecting the corresponding button usually found in the bottom right of the screen.
- Select the ship you want to sell from your inventory. Note that you cannot sell your Home Ship, so if the ship you want to sell is your Home Ship, you must first set a different ship as your Home Ship.
- If the ship is stolen or captured, you must register the ship first by paying a registration fee (around 85-90% of the ship’s sale value) before you can sell it.
