To set an out-of-office status in Microsoft Teams, you can use the desktop or web app, or the mobile app

  • Desktop and Web App
1. Open Microsoft Teams.
2. Click your profile picture in the top right corner.
3. Select “Set status message”
4. Click “Schedule out of office”
5. Turn on automatic replies
6. Set your date range
7. Customize your auto-reply message
8. Click “Save”
  • Mobile App
1. Open the Teams mobile app.
2. Tap your profile picture.
3. Select "Set status message"
4. Tap “Out of office"
5. Configure your settings

  • Alternative Method
1. Go to your profile photo in the top right of Teams.
2. Select **Settings** > **General**.
3. Locate the **Out of Office** section.
4. At the bottom of the page, click **Schedule** to open the out of office screen.
5. Follow the steps to set and save your preferences.

Once you've set your out-of-office status in Teams, it will also be visible in Outlook

. If you update your out-of-office details in Outlook, the changes will reflect in Teams

. To turn off your out-of-office status, return to the Out of Office screen, click the toggle next to Turn on automatic replies, and select Save

. To show out of office in Teams without sending an auto reply, leave the “Turn on automatic replies” toggle switch off
